22 years of working inside other people's shutdowns.

We are a mechanical contracting firm specializing in repairs, installations, retrofits and projects in power plants, paper making facilities, mining facilities and other manufacturing centers.

How it started

Before 2004, Michael and Peter Zayachek both worked for other contracting firms, and both watched the same thing happen: customer service and quality getting worse. They took a small loan out of their 401K and started their own company.

The first job went out on a pick up truck, a small garden trailer for tools and five employees.

What it takes now

Sixteen
company vehicles
Twenty nine
fully stocked tool trailers
One hundred+
crew members

The crews

Zayachek employs supervisors, foremen, millwrights, riggers and welders from all over the country. Crews have worked together for years, which matters more than it sounds like it should. An outage is a short window with a lot of trades in a confined space, and a crew that already knows how each other works loses less time figuring it out.

The people doing the work have considerable experience and expertise, and are among the best in the industry.

Safe, High Quality Performance that Exceeds Customer Expectations
